The Dissipative System Modeling Electro-hydrodynamical Fluids
Department of mathematics, Rice University, Houston, Texas
Electro-hydrodynamic fluids are a source of interesting flow phenomena at the micron length scale where electric forces and surface tension compete with inertia. The system of partial differential equations govering these flows possess some reasonable energetic structures which are attractive from the point of view of analysis. The speaker will discuss the derivation of the model, formulate the existence, regularity and long term behavior results and point out some open questions.
